Nancy was born in a small farm town in Indiana, moved to a small town in Michigan, and then on to Pennsylvania. Her childhood experiences created a sense of deep connection to the natural world, both prairies and woodlands. Coming out as lesbian during high school propelled her onto a path of personal inquiry, social justice work, and lifelong learning. Nancy’s passion is supporting organizations working for social justice by doing finance and operations work. Her work has focused on racial justice, gender justice, and the LGBTQ community. Nancy has a Masters in Library Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. For the last 20 years, Nancy has called the Bay Area home. She loves domestic life, which includes her partner, extended family, and a variety of furred and feathered animals, walking in nature, and working to make the world a more inclusive, just, and sustainable place.
