Juana Garcia

Juana was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, and immigrated to the United States at the age of 6. She is the youngest of 5 siblings. Her parents' sacrifices fueled her determination to excel and make their efforts meaningful. In May 2023, she received a Bachelor of Arts from California State University Long Beach, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Women's Gender & Sexuality Studies.

During her academic journey, Juana actively engaged in advocacy and community initiatives. Notably, she volunteered with the JustCARE campaign in Sacramento, advocating and lobbying for Senate Bill 24's passage. Additionally, she gained valuable experiences through internships at Fresno's United Farm Workers (UFW) Foundation and Long Beach Branch NAACP. Recently, she served as a EL Storytelling Youth Ambassador with the Youth Leadership Institute in the Central Valley, empowering youth with the tools of storytelling, advocacy, and campaigns. Juana is currently preparing to take the LSAT and plans to apply to law school to pursue constitutional or immigration law. Ms. Garcia is a driven individual with a deep passion for law, politics, and social justice.
