NARRATIVE POWER: ACCELERATING NARRATIVE CHANGE FROM THE GROUND UP
Stories have the power to connect our communities across differences and stretch our imagination of what’s possible when we come together for racial justice and social change. Everyday Million Voters Project combines powerful organizing with powerful stories about our vision for our multiracial democracy to accelerate systemic change. Given the threats facing our democracy, it is urgent that we equip organizers and powerbuilders with the resources to scale their narrative organizing strategies.
In 2023, MVP and Power California launched an initiative to build the narrative infrastructure our movements need to advance our vision for CA’s multiracial democracy. In this first-of-its-kind research led by powerbuilding practitioners, movement leaders share essential recommendations and priorities for boosting our ability to challenge dominant narratives that fuel inequality and advance new ones that center multiracial democracy, interdependence and fairness for all.
MVP NARRATIVE INFRASTRUCTURE FRAMEWORK
MVP has created its own narrative infrastructure framework — the components needed to sustain a longterm narrative strategy that inspires masses of Californians to embrace a government of care and inclusion, multiracial democracy and corporate accountability.
