Justine Santos

she/her

Justine is a first generation Filpinx, organizer, and strategist currently residing in Vallejo, CA, fighting to see racial justice and liberation for oppressed people be realized in her lifetime. Justine has been committed to the movement for 15+ years, organizing around anti-racism, anti-imperialism, environmental, housing, and educational justice in Union City, Oakland, San Francisco, and Daly City. Upon recognizing the importance of building power from the grassroots, the impact of organizing on her own development as a youth, and seeing how transformation can happen when those closest to oppression are resourced, have agency, and build power, she hasn’t stopped organizing.

Justine spent the last eight years at Californians for Justice co-conspiring with Black and Brown youth on shifting power in the education system and creating racially just schools in Oakland and statewide through organizing members, shaping statewide campaigns, and leading communications and narrative change strategies. In her free time, she loves to be outside, like taking Nala & Rumble (her dogs) out on adventures, hiking & camping in the forest, or cycling in the mountains. When inside, she’s probably in the kitchen, making bread and fermenting things.
