Dakari Cleveland
Dakari Cleveland is a West Fresno native who graduated from the illustrious HBCU Miles College in Fairfield, AL with a degree in Business Management. He brings experience with 7+ years of community organizing and project management skills.
One of his most meaningful projects has been working to implement a $500,000 Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grant into the South West Fresno community. Dakari and his colleagues helped start the 93706 Farmers Market in Southwest Fresno to benefit the community health needs in the deteriorating food desert. He was also the lead on a $30,000 community mural project.
In his free time, Dakari continues to organize as a creator of The Alley In The Valley, a Black entrepreneurial space at Art Hop and different venues throughout Fresno. Dakari's commitment to his community is fueled by a deep love for people, place, and planning.
